Psychographies
Psichographies is a term created to define my work. Photography is a need for me, a way to perceive reality and to express myself. Relate through imaging.
Pictures emerging from my imagination that come to life by means of a camera. It’s the shaping of an idea, a feeling or a tangible sensation. After visualizing the image, I sketch it down and look for the adequate scenery, the most similar to the one I imagined. Landscape is not the main character, but the place where the story follows. It appears as a prime part; it must detain a special magic, a dreamlike atmosphere that wraps us and makes us dream.
Then I place the characters in the scenery, telling us their own little story, their fears, dreams… Sometimes the character is not yet in the scene but has left his trace behind, turning into the main character again. An special blend of poetry and weird unreality is transmitted, the eagerness to turn the outside into the land of daydream.
